LimePhone numbers are business lines for talking to your customers. They aren't meant for receiving sign-up or login codes from other services.
Why codes don't arrive
- Many services refuse virtual numbers. Banks, payment apps such as PayPal, WhatsApp, Google, Facebook and others often won't send codes to them.
- We filter one-time codes. To protect our numbers from abuse, text messages that contain a verification code are filtered and don't appear in your inbox.
- Many numbers can't receive texts at all. Local numbers in the UK, Australia and most of Europe are voice-only.
Receiving verification codes isn't a supported use of LimePhone, and nothing in your settings changes this. For account verification, use a mobile number from your own carrier.
You can't register WhatsApp on a LimePhone number from the dashboard.
What LimePhone numbers are good for
Business calls and texts with your customers, a second line for work, call forwarding, an IVR and the AI receptionist.
