This page is about the codes we send you while you sign up. If codes from other services, such as a bank or WhatsApp, aren't reaching your LimePhone number, see Verification codes and virtual numbers.
Email code
We email a 6-digit code.
- Use the newest email. Each new code cancels the earlier ones, so an older code won't work.
- Codes expire after 10 minutes. If yours has expired, request a new one.
- Check spam and junk.
- Wait for the timer. You can request a new code once the countdown on the button ends.
If you see "Too many failed attempts. Please request a new code.", request a new one. If it says try again in an hour, wait an hour.
Phone code
We send the code by text message (SMS). We don't send codes by voice call.
- Use a mobile number. Landlines and internet (VoIP) numbers can't be used to verify.
- Include the right country code.
- Wait a minute before resending. Text messages can take a moment to arrive.
- If you see "We couldn't send a code to that number", check it's a mobile number with the right country code.
- Don't request too many codes. If you see "Too many verification requests" or "Too many attempts", wait an hour and try again.
Still nothing?
Email [email protected] from the email address on your account. Include the phone number you're trying to verify, with its country code. We'll help you finish signing up.
