Types Of Numbers

Here's a quick guide to different types of phone number types that you can add to your LimePhone Account

LimePhone can provide you with several different number types to best suit your business needs.

Types of phone numbers explained...

    • Mobile

Mobile numbers are numbers that are usually used in mobile phones and linked to SIM-cards. LimePhone offers Mobile Numbers in many of our supported countries. These numbers are not linked to any SIM-card and can be used in the same way as Local Numbers and National Numbers.

    • National

Unlike geographic numbers, national phone numbers are not tied to a particular local area. The cost for making outbound calls from LimePhone on a national number will be the same as if it was a local number. For your callers, placing calls to a national LimePhone number should be charged by their carrier at the same rate as a local call.

    • Toll Free

Also called freephone numbers, they are billed for all received calls instead of charging the caller. A for the caller, an incoming call to a toll-free number from a landline or mobile phone is free of charge.

If you would like to have a toll-free number on your LimePhone account, you will be charged for the inbound calls from your account credit.

    • Geographic/local

A geographic number is a telephone number with a digit structure that is linked to a specific city, or area. Numbers are linked to a particular city or region, such as London, New York, etc.
